It's an okay deal if you view Netflix and Blockbuster as equals, but we don't. We used to have Netflix and liked it fine, but are much happier with Blockbuster. Of course, we have four kids and so the ability to swap movies in and out locally is a huge advantage. Moreover, we have pretty mainstream tastes, so the supposedly broader selection of Netflix isn't a draw. In our case, this is a great deal, as it gives $35 dollars off your first six months of a service. This makes what we view to be a superior service cost the same as an inferior service. Of course, YMMV depending on personal tastes.

Including taxes (5% in my case) this comes to a monthly rate of $15.07 for the first six months... A similar deal would cost $14.86 for the first six months at Netflix (without the in-store exchanges). So it's not a bad deal, but it's not a spectacular offer either.
