Chase Blink Transaction $10 Bonus Followup

Written by admin - 4 Comments

Back in early May I noted that Chase was offering a $10 bonus in return for completing 3 blink transactions with the Chase Freedom rewards card. Since I love free money, I promptly did just that and have been waiting ever since for the bonus to appear.

According to the promotional flyer, the bonus should post as a statement credit within 6-8 weeks after the conclusion of the promotion (it ended on June 6th, 2008). Unfortunately, it’s been over ten weeks and my bonus still hasn’t shown up.

Curious as to why this was, I picked up the phone and called Chase cardmember services at 1-800-524-3880 — unfortunately they don’t have a secure e-mail contact form, so your only option is to call them.

After waiting on hold for awhile, the rep that took my call verified the terms of the promotion and said that she would forward the problem to their marketing department. According to her, I should receive a letter within 7-10 business days with a resolution. So that’s it. Now I wait.

While $10 is hardly worth all this trouble, it’s the principle of the matter. Not only do I want my $10, but I want all of you to get yours, too. So… If you participated in this promo and didn’t get paid, let me know. I also encourage you to call them. I’ll update again when I know more.

As an aside, you can still get a $50 signup bonus just for applying for the Chase Freedom card. In my opinion, it’s one of the two best cash back reward credit cards out there.

Update: Unfortunately, the $50 bonus offer has expired. If you’re looking for a hot deal, be sure to check out these other credit card promos.

  1. Funny you should mention this – I was downloading my transactions into MSMoney a few days ago and noticed a $10 credit. It took me a second to realize that it was the Blink bonus and probably would have forgotten about it if it never posted.

  2. Hey I’m having the same problem but it told me that I didn’t make enough purchases and I actually signed up for it again early September from a link that told you how many blink purchases you made so it seemed more legit but now I can’t remember what the link was I’m wondering if you know what website it might be or if you could help me out?

    Thank you.

  3. My $10 bonus for the three Blink transactions showed up on my September statement. It was just there – there wasn’t any indication where the extra $10 in rewards came from, comparing my last rewards balance with my current month’s “earnings”.

  4. As of today…i still haven’t receive my $10.00 bonus and i’m pissed about it…It seems no one knows anything about it…If i don’t get it i will closed the account. I consider it to be false advertisement.
