Get a 20% Cash Back Bonus From Citi

Note: This offer has expired.

The Citi CashReturns MasterCard has recently been re-worked such that it now offers a 1% cash back on all purchases with a 20% cash back bonus for the first twelve months. That brings the cash back rewards up to a full 1.2% for a year.

Other attractive features of this card:
» 0% APR on balance transfers for up to 12 months
» There’s no annual fee

While I’m still partial to the Chase Freedom Rewards card and Blue Cash from American Express, this is a solid deal for the first twelve months.

Comments (scroll down to add your own):

  1. I don’t understand. Is it 20% cashback on all purchases for the first 12 months and then 1% thereafter? How did you get the 1.2% per year? Or is it an additional 20% on the cash you got back, so 1.2%?

  2. It’s effectively the latter — they bump your rewards up by 20%, from 1% to 1.2%.
