Make Money With Vintage Credit Cards
Did you know that collectible credit cards can be worth hundreds, or even thousands of dollars? While most of the recent eBay listings for vintage credit cards are for much less than this, celebrity cards can actualy be quite valuable. In fact, according to Chuck Jennings of the American Credit Card Collectors Society, Elvis Presley’s American Express card (complete with his signature) went for more than $40,000 at auction. On the other end of the celebrity spectrum, Henry Fonda’s 1953 Texaco credit card went for less than $100, presumably because he hadn’t signed it.

Nice item. If I may be so bold, our site did an article a few months ago about vintage credit cards, which included a photo of the Henry Fonda Texaco card you mentioned (link).
And if you’re really serious about vintage credit cards, there’s a group of fanatics who collect and swap “charge plates” — little stamped metal devices that were the predecessors of credit cards. Individual stores issued them to their good customers to allow them to charge things.
