Making the Most of Your Free Credit Reports

Written by admin - 2 Comments

As you probably know by now, you’re entitled to receive one free credit report per year from each of the three major credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion).

To do this, simply go to annualcreditreport.com to claim your free credit report(s).

But instead of getting them all at once, consider checking just one at a time, and spacing them out throughout the year. This would allow you to check your credit (using a different credit bureau each time) every four months, which would allow you to keep a close eye on your finances without spending a dime.

Comments (scroll down to add your own):

  1. So I shouldn’t worry about any monthly charges coming along down the road after doing one of these free credit reports right? They only charge you if you upgrade?

    thanks

  2. If you go through annualcreditreport.com, then you should have nothing to worry about.
